colored chalkboard paint!!!!

chalkboard paint- it's every where these day's, but only in black.... till now! hudson paint located right here in red hook has 24 amazing colors. acid green, bright orange, hot pink, turquoise, purple, red and so much more. i used a couple of my favorite colors and painted my ikea tray, made a board for outside my back door, painted my tea canisters, so that I can label all my many yummy tea's. and, best of all painted my boring, very old fridge bright blue. let's see ...... i can paint the walls in my girls room, perhaps the back door to make notes on........
so quick order a quart or 2 and get painting. i can't wait to see what you come up with.

Painting the fridge with it, what a great idea! I assume it's matte? How washable is it? I'm going to keep this in mind...

  9. hey -- love your blog! found it through d*s (I'm a deep grace fan). Wondering -- what colors did you use on the screen door, trim and siding of your house? love the color combo of your back door photo so much I want to paint my writer's shed the same way.

  10. Hmm.... I will have to dig around the basement to find the colors. I have a bit of a paint problem and there is quite a lot. I do know that the siding is a Cabot's solid body stain and the door is Ben Moore the trim is from Liberty Paint in Hudson.

  13. i taped off the part that I did not want paint on with blue painter's tape and roughed up the glass with sandpaper. then painted it on with a foam brush. good luck.

This is so cute! What did you do to prepare your fridge for painting? Any advice before I embark on this project?

  18. Hi Raina, does it leave a lot of chalkdust on the floor and do you feel a lot of allergens in the house. I want to get it done, but am not sure about this particular reason as I a clean freak. Thanks!

  19. No more then any traditional chalkboard. I have painted everything from walls and tables to chairs and it all holds up well and stays pretty clean.

  21. Oh doggone it, I love the aqua blue and the lime green especially. I'll have to do some research to see if there's a store in our area that sells the colored chalk paint. Hmmm, maybe I saw a color at Hobby Lobby couple weeks ago. With my coupon it'll be alot more affordable,it was spray paint. I'll have to do a search on their site. Or I can see if our Ace hardware will order it for me. You sure have inspired me on this one. Glad I found your post thru TooMuchTimeOnMyHands party. Happy summer
