winter food

after a pretty mild winter we got hit with freezing cold weather and ice! the only thing good about this is it makes me want to stay home and cook lot's of comfort food. one of my favorites is polenta.

add a topping of grated parmigiano cheese and it's a perfect cozy side. tonight i am making moroccan lamb to go along with it ( nothing wrong with mixing a little italian and morrocan ).
i am slow cooking the lamb - from fleishers, with onion, garlic, garam masala, fennel, cumin,cinnamon and cardamon. add a glass of cloudbanks cellars cabernet 2007 vintners select and the winter doesn't seem so bad.
