A fashion morning

I love Natalie Chanin's work- and posted about a skirt I made from one of her patterns awhile back.  This morning I saw this amazing skirt that Gina Sekelsky designed based on Natalies work.  Gina hand painted the following quote on the fabric and reverse stitiched it then cut out the center of the letters allowing the black jersey lining to show through.
"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who come alive" - Howard Thurman.
definitely words to think about and follow.

  1. Hi there,
I love your blog, especially your list of cool things to do in the hudson valley. We have a place in southern columbia county (about 15 mins from tivoli) and love checking out and discovering new places.
