New flea market finds

This past weekend was a nice break from a few too many crazy weeks.  Sat morning we got up early (5 am!!!) and headed to the Stormville Flea.  There were a ton of dealers- and people even at that hour.  I was looking mostly for lights and a cabinet, neither of which I found there but as always I found things that I was not looking for but love.  a sweet little painting, a very cool silver purse- the photo does not due it justice.   A simple blue pitcher- yes more pottery!  And the best glasses I have seen in a while, a tool box and scientific measuring cup that I plan to use to mix cocktails this summer.  Later that day I went to the Rhinebeck Antiques Show, a high end show with beautiful and often pricey pieces.  I love looking there even if I end up buying little, and did find a very cool industrial light to put over a favorite reading nook. The day ended with a romantic anniversary dinner with my husband- for me at least a perfect day!  Alas no flea's this weekend, perhaps a garage sale or two and a relaxing dinner with friends.  Have a great weekend, see you next week
