A few days ago I spent the afternoon at the lovely studio of artist Beth Adams. I'm sure you know her work, as she has designed book covers for several bestsellers including "Julie and Julia". Beth works and lives in northwestern Connecticut with her son Ben. She has what seems like the ideal life, going to work each morning by strolling through the field to her light filled stone studio filled with the many paints and papers she uses in her work. She has just illustrated the children's book 'Confessions Of A Former Bully" written by Trudy Ludwig and is currently working on her first children's book to be written and illustrated solely by Beth called "The Earth Spins". I was lucky to get a sneak peek of the book which explains to children through delightful pictures how the world is one even though we all live in different places.
A sneek peak of what Beth's working on
Cool shadow boxes
Recently Beth has been also designing these birds made from recycled papers.
She has been thinking of selling them on Etsy-wouldn't you love one!
A few of Beth's book covers- look familiar??
and for you shoe addicts - you know who you are......
