New Work, Country Living magazine

Ugh I have been a blogging failure lately!  Honestly I have just been overwhelmed, overworked and embarking on a crazy-huge new project...more on that later in the week!  So after working right up until xmas break I took a much needed rest and had some family down time.  Now I am back and energized (sort of) and ready to start the new year off with a bang.
One of the projects I worked on this fall was a house I scouted and styled for Country Living magazine.
I love this house and more then just about any house I have styled could move right in.  Everytime I am there it feels like home!  The Owners Bobby and Eric took a small, dark ramshackle cabin and turned into a modern, light open chic yet casual space.
The appliances were all found on Craigs List and the Bulthaup cabinets came from a salvage company.

The fireplace was orginally where the house ended and faced outside, now it makes a cozy living area.
Here's a couple of extra shot's- this one didn't make it into the story,
but shows the sunny open kitchen and whitewashed paneling off beautifully.
This is another version we tried of the book shelf area.  Sedgwick wins hands down as the most amazing dog model, he barely flinched no matter how many pics we took.

  1. Fabulous work, Raina. And being overbooked is a good reason to be scarce on the blog. Congrats for all the great success! Hope to see you soon in Europe:-) And in European interiors mags!!!

  2. I subscribe to County Living, and loved their cabin. Those guys are brilliant at seeing what can be. Glad you successfully pitched their home to the magazine.
