Out & About

A cozy spot for a cup of tea and a good read from Elle Decor Espana via iinspired.
I could use a quiet cup of tea just about now as the renovation is looking like this...
This is the trouble with renovating an old house, once you start to touch one thing it just keeps spiraling out of control.  The kitchen floor had some badly pieced in spots and was a bit springy, so the next thing you know we had ripped up the floor in order to stabilize the beams and re lay it.  So now have a nice view into the basement.  I got a bit worried when one of the laborers asked when we planned on moving in and when we replied July he said "of next year?"  AGHH!!
So meanwhile images like this from Elle Decor UK shot by Birgitta Wolfgang Drejer, will keep me fueled until the house starts to feel closer to a home.
What do you think? Personally I am drawn to the rustic/glam world traveler vibe going on.  It's so nicely tied together within the neutral palette.
More moodiness in this painting by Jemima Kirke.  Yes that Jemima of Girls fame is also an accomplished artist. In fact this was her first love before acting.
It should be clear to all that I have a bag obsession by now.  I've been coveting a tassel from Fredericks and Mae and now I can combine two loves in this bag from  Baggu
While we are on the subject of bags -  a couple of iPad cases that are floating my boat as well-
