Here's a few images from a modern cottage I shot last year for Design New England magazine.
It's a spare guest cottage designed by architect David Mansfield. After spending the day shooting this house I was more convinced then ever that what I wanted was to build a modern house.... and then we bought another old house and started another renovation. Not sure what happened there, but I digress.
I love the concrete floors, simple, large panes of glass and slatted doors. The house overlooks a steep ravine that makes it feel like you are in the tree's. The main house is a much more traditional New England home making the juxtaposition of the modern, Japanese inspired cottage that much more interesting.
